Andrew and Lis came to Cogges and South Leigh in September 1996 as newly ordained deacons, and were both ordained as priests in September 1997. They job-shared the work of Curate, so that they could also share looking after their two children, and the parishes therefore had the benefit of their different gifts and talents.

Andrew and Elisabeth left the Cogges and South Leigh benefice in August 1999, to take up another shared appointment, with Andrew becoming part-time Tutor in Ethics at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford and Lis becoming part-time Chaplain at Jesus College, Oxford.
